# Pon > Free browser game by Super Labs. Mahjong solitaire with a roguelike run > wrapped around it: clear boards against a rising points target, bank coins, > and spend them upgrading your own deck between rounds. - URL: https://www.sprlbs.com/games/pon/ - Genre: Puzzle, Strategy, Casual - Controls: tap or click two matching free tiles - Cost: free, no sign-up, no download - Offline: yes, once loaded (PWA, installable) ## Rules A tile is free when nothing rests on top of it and one of its long sides is clear. Tap two matching free tiles to take them. Any flower takes any other flower; everything else takes its own face. ## The run Each round is one board with a points target that climbs as `40 + round x 10 + round ^ 2.1` on medium. Clearing the target pays `round(4 x sqrt(round))` coins and opens the shop; missing it ends the run. ## Scoring `(card points + material points) x max(1, dragon combo + phoenix combo x 2)` Dragons start a run on their own colour: every following tile carrying that colour adds one to the multiplier, anything else ends it, and flowers are inert. A phoenix only takes flight when no dragon is running and wants the numbers in sequence (1-9, wrapping), which is why it counts double. Both cap at 10. Winds shove the whole board two spaces, reopening buried tiles. Jokers scatter and re-deal what is left. ## Materials Three of a face merge into one better material, along that colour's path: garnet to ruby (red), jade to emerald (green), topaz to sapphire (blue), quartz to obsidian (black). Topaz and sapphire can be taken even when both sides are blocked - a change to what you are allowed to do rather than what you score. ## Credits Gameplay recreates Whatajong by Pao Ramon (MIT), https://github.com/masylum/whatajong ## Related - Super Labs Arcade — https://www.sprlbs.com/games
