# Buzz

> Free browser word puzzle by Super Labs. Seven letters in a honeycomb, one of
> them compulsory — make as many words as you can and find the pangram.

## Rules

Build words from the seven letters in the hive.

- At least four letters long
- Every word must use the centre letter
- Letters may be reused as often as you like
- No proper nouns; no hive ever contains an S, so plurals in S never arise

## Scoring

- Four-letter word: 1 point
- Longer word: its own length in points
- Pangram (uses all seven letters): 7 extra points

Score climbs a ladder whose thresholds are percentages of that board's own
total, so Genius means the same thing on a 74-point hive as on a 227-point
one: Beginner 0, Good Start 2%, Moving Up 5%, Good 8%, Solid 15%, Nice 25%,
Great 40%, Amazing 50%, Genius 70%. Queen Bee is every word on the board.

## Puzzles

800 hives (≈2.2 years), each solved offline: the letters, every accepted word,
the pangrams, and the total score all ship in puzzles/puzzles.json. Words come
from SCOWL (the English Speller Database), filtered to words a corpus has
actually seen. See tools/wordgames/build-wordlists.mjs.
